The Acharyas of Ayurveda place a high value on Sharira. For a physician to offer a healthy existence for mankind, he or she must have complete knowledge of Sharira at all times. All the Samhitas include anatomical and physiological descriptions of the human body. Sharira Sthana is a separate part in all of the main Samhitas. One of the most essential principles in Ayurveda is Anguli Pramana. Anguli pramana is the practice of measuring one's height, arm span, and circumference of bodily organs using one's own Anguli. References to Angulapramana may be found in all of the ancient scriptures. Anjali Pramana was another major method of measuring during the Samhita period, and it was used to quantify bodily components such as Rasa, Rakta, and so on. The measuring unit of Anjali Pramana is obtained by connecting both palms at the little finger. The idea of Pramana Sharira may be used to determine not only the fundamental measurements, but also the Ayu (lifespan), Bala, Ojas, Prakriti, age, sex, race, and Swasthya. The theory of Anguli Pramana is founded on Swa-Angula Pramana, which is a very particular approach. Anguli is one of the oldest units of measurement, having been in use for centuries. According to many academics, if the Ayama and Vistara are in equal quantity, the individual would live a long and healthy life. Traditional medical science principles are still useful and applicable in a variety of sectors of medicine and surgery.
